Reading and Dreaming

Have you ever found yourself dreaming about a book you are reading? I mean, are you in your dreams continuing on with the storyline once you are sleeping?
I often find myself speculating about what will happen next in a book that I am involved in. Sometimes I am right and sometimes I am wrong The interpretation could be close to what the author sees as the storyline. sometimes I am way off.
When I first starting doing this way, way back I thought - what the heck is wrong with me? I realized finally that it is just my overactive imagination that is taking control of me.
Do you ever do this? Anticipate the ending of an interesting book in your dreams?

@HazySue Yes, it is. I haven't started dreaming on this book yet. I wish I would. Oh well. At least it's coming together now and making sense, since I took the time to get it straightened out, something you're not supposed to do until after NaNo is over. You're supposed to quash your inner editor for 30 days. Now tell me - just how are you supposed to do that?

@just4him I don't think you can squash your inner editor, it is a part of your writing. I would find it impossible. Sometimes you just know it is going in the wrong direction and if you continue to go that way your book will not be what it should be.

I have done this in the past. I also do it with my writing. If I am thinking about it before I go to bed I may dream about it.

I have been very fond of reading from the time I was able to learn to read. Back when I was in high school, I would miss having breakfast because I was so engrossed with just reading my book. It's the last thing I'd touch by the end of the day and the first thing I open the moment I wake up. And yes there were times when I would dream about the story line.

@HazySue That is so true. I had a lot of spare time back then but now I don't. But I still read once in awhile.
