Have you ever forgotten your daughters birthday.
Today is my daughters birthday and strange enough I had even forgotten about it. Early this morning at around 4.20am I heard a message sound on my phone and just asked myself who the hell can be sending me a message this early. I got to my phone and checking found a happy birthday message from the bank where my daughter has a junior account.
I was just guiltily asking myself how can a bank remember my daughters birthday while I have forgotten it. What a bad mother I have become or maybe am growing old.
Has this ever happened to you before someone reminding you that its one of your kids birthday.

When my daughter was born I expected her birthday to be different from what it actually was, and even put it on the calendar as that. Several months later I was going through the calendar and saw where I put my daughter's birthday, and had to think about it for a few seconds because I knew the date was wrong and when I remembered it, I put it on the right date.

I never had a kid but forgetting your daughters birthday woould surely make her feel bad.. Glad that the bank reminded you about it, :) Next time try to set a reminder on your phone's calendar so it surely won't be forgotten and No forgetting your daughters birthday doesn't mean you are getting old maybe you are just too busy thinking with important stuffs that it made you forget about it. Anyway, happy birthday to your daughter and I hope she enjoys her birthday :)

but did your daughter notice that you forgot? if she didn't and you were still able to greet her first thing in the morning, then it's all good.

It happen because sometimes we are too busy. But I think this doesn't mean we don't love them.

I only have one kid and I haven't forgotten his birthday so far. I hope I won't ever forget that until I'm too old and senile maybe.

my third brother sent me a birthday greeting last November 1st. that was the second time he did that.
i replied, "Manong (big brother), it is not yet my birthday. it is Buridec's (youngest sibling) birthday". he responded "sorry" after a few hours.
he greeted me on my day last November 12.

As a mom, you're probably really busy, and there's so much going on that you forgot. At least, she didn't know.
