Working Hard Or Hardly Working?

I work from home as a freelancer and I have to say that I sometimes feel that I am hardly working. Of course, there are other times when I feel that I am working very hard, but seem to get very little done. So, I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what they do to overcome this?
Do you use productivity tools or a to-do list? I tried Trello to keep everything organized, but remembering to open it every day seems to be a problem of mine.

I think you can try that things to do list and put some not there depending on your priority

I don't use any productivity tools at all. I'm a very random person. I go to the office when I'm needed and when I have meetings scheduled for the day. When I stay at home, I still work because I receive phone calls and sometimes have to solve the problems of my employees.
I work 7 days a week with barely no rest at all.

I work from home too but I don't use any special tool, just a small notice board in front of my work desk where I place sticky notes and what not, and my calendar. What I do is set a target for that particular day, like I have to get this and that done by, say 2 p.m. It works for me.

When I was at home caring for my grandmother I had a list of tasks to complete online so that I could earn money. Now that I work full time outside the home, I don't have as much time as before to work online
