Favorite Side Projects #6 - Revenge

I am the type of music lover that will buy an obscure album, without hearing it first, just because some guitarist that I like played on two songs. So if said guitarist, for instance, puts together a side project band, I'm definitely interested. Which brings us to #6 in my Favorite Side Projects series: Revenge. Formed between New Order albums in 1989, by then-New Order bassist Peter Hook, Revenge lasted until 1995, and managed to release one studio album (One True Passion,) a two CD reissue of that record, four singles, an EP, and a live album. The story goes that Hook naming the band "Revenge" was a thinly veiled swipe at New Order vocalist/guitarist Bernard Sumner, while the other story says Hook chose the name from the "Revenge" seen on the leather jacket worn by George Michael in the video for his song, "Faith." The leather jacket story sounds plausible, but Hook and Sumner have been bickering like school children for years, which brings credence to the first story. All I know is that I really liked One True Passion, even though it really didn't stray very far from that classic New Order sound. In other words, if you like New Order, odds are that you might like this as well. (Info verified by Wikipedia)
Great song by one of the projects from Peter Hook. There wasn't any videos for this track, so ... enjoy !!

It’s interesting how bands stay together amid all the fighting, isn’t it? I remember Glenn Frey once saying that the Eagles “were breaking up from the day we got together.” I mentioned Ray and Dave Davies in a reply to another discussion a few minutes ago. Creative tension is one thing, “I wanna kick your teeth out but the money’s too good” is quite another.

Oasis! I seem to recall Dokken, that Don Dokken and George Lynch refused to even stand on the same side of the stage. But the money was good.
