Market Day tomorrow and I've been getting ready for a while now. I'm taking my jewellery and there's also a car boot sale. there is a lot of stuff lying around not being used so I've cleaned it all up (or I'm in the process) and priced it and will be loading it into my car. There have been several hefty expenses lately so hopefully I can recoup some doh-rei-me. Wish me luck please.

Best of luck. Just don't come back with a car full of other stuff that you saw at the sale...

You know me so well. Hopefully I'll be too busy to go and look. Hope we get a good roll up as these things haven't been very well patronised in the past.

@pgntwo It was a dud. People came for the breakfast but not to buy. Most didn't even look at anything. I sold 2 items for a profit of $8 and that doesn't cover the cost of my fuel to get there. I did better than most other stall holders.

Basically, an organisation sets up the market day. Stall holders pay a fee and set up a table with their wares to sell. The people come and see what is for sale and buy if they want to. I sell jewellery I have made, all pieces are one of a kind. Some sell homemade jams pickles etc, some sell plants, others sell handicrafts and so on.

Good luck with the sale. I've been cleaning out stuff and there is a car boot sale on tomorrow but I don't think we'll get to this one.

That's a shame. It's amazing what you can find when you start doing a clear out. There are a few things that I forgot I had.

@MsTickle And if you'd forgotten you'd had them, you probably don't need them any more.

Did you have a good market day? Yes, I remember vaguely that you make jewelry and have been wondering how do you cope with this hobby? (My eyesight seems to become worse and worse with time.)

It was not a good day. I cope really well as my eyesight is OK. I wear a helmet with magnifiers too. I've not had the opportunity to sell anything lately so I haven't been making much. i have a big bag of necklaces and bracelets to repair for a lady but there's basically no profit doing repairs.
