Call me ignorant, but what is this Thanksgiving all about? Also, if you eat turkey now, what do you eat for Christmas dinner? Just wondering.

It is to be thankful for what we have. The pilgrims started it, givng thanks for a bountiful harvest.

It is supposed to celebrate what we are thankful for but if you look into the history of it all it is pretty sad. Ham is what people normally have for Christmas.

I was once told the Americans stole the country fair and square. But all nations are guilty of doing much the same. How do you think the British got Australia? History is full of it, so don't lose any sleep, its what we do now, not what was done then.
