I have this very old fan that my grandma bought many years ago. I've been told it can't be fixed by a local appliance store because the bearings are out in the motor. Does anyone know whether this old fan can be fixed? It has sentimental value to me and I'd like to get it fixed. Thanks.

Hi I will sell you the motor for 50.00 usd do you have a E-BAY account? If so and you wanted me to list it and do the transaction that way it would be good for me. I was looking for another fan to restore goggled mathes and found you in myLot I seen it was a old post but thought I might be able to help. If you take the back off your fan you will be able to read a tag on the motor I need to know what type you have if you can list that information I can tell you if my motor will work for you. I Live in Columbia, Missouri zip code 65201 if you want to check on shipping cost. It may cost alot less to have someone local to repair it rather than pay for shipping that could end up costing up to 80.00 to ship here than back. The motor is not hard to replace but if you dont have any experience in that field It could be very dangerous. Also on the top of the fan does the switch plate say off-hi-low-hi. J.R

Hey, man. I guess I could use the motor. I'd have to take it to the applicance store and hopefully they would put it in for me, unless it's not that difficult. Where are you located. Perhaps I could send the fan to you. What would you charge for the motor? Thanks for responding to my almost two year old question! This fan has sentimental value so I wouldn't want to lose it. I am not sure where you are located, but I am sure there is someone. Do a search like the following for your local area. If not, there are big companies that you could send it away to.
