The other day my fiancé and I were at heb with our nephew and he could not wait for his chips so he sat there and we opened them and paid at the end . Led me to wonder if y’all do the same thing or you let them wait until they are in the car or till you get home ?

Usually I'll pay for a drink or snack first and then shop. I haven't been in an HEB in over 25 years, since we moved away from Texas

Well i usually make my daughter to wait till she gets home.....I seriously don't want my car dirty and if she eats in the shop my mind is so busy I would forget and plus if she waits she learns a certain sense of patients and discipline

@Dyvette16 - Oh, I was wondering what it stood for. Here in North Carolina (and South Carolina) we have the grocery store with the silliest name of all--Piggly Wiggly.

It's not something I did regularly, but on occasion I would do the same thing when grocery shopping. It was a tactic I used if the kids were getting antsy and fidgety while I was shopping. A lot of times now I will get a drink and drink it while I'm shopping and then pay for it at the end.

Oh, my mom used to open things and eat them in the grocery store, but I can't bear to do that. It even embarrassed me as a kid when she did it! I feel like even if you know you are going to pay for it, you still shouldn't open it until you do, because it's not yours, yet.
