Update on the computer scam

A week ago today, I've told you about my computer scam from an Indian computer security company, who said my computer had issues with the firewall and such. Here's an update on my situation, since I first posted it about her on Sunday.
I've called my bank twice earlier twice this week to give them an update on the situation. I didn't get my $100 refund back as promised earlier this week. They've made a note about it for my record. The pending transaction had gone through by Wednesday, when now I'm down to less than $200 in my savings account. They said it would take ten days to review my case. And by next weekend, I would get a temporary provisionary credit in my account, while they investigate it. If it takes longer than 30 days to investigate my disputed claim, it becomes permanent. Otherwise, it would be reversed, and I will lose my $399.95.
My bank told me to contact to the seller to make the situation go faster to get my refund back. I did email them twice unfortunately, telling them that I've canceled my services for a scam, and I want my money back, including my refund. I did provide them everything they asked to back up my claim.
So now I wait until next weekend to get my new debit card and see if that provisionary credit appears on my account. If I've lost everything, I could hope that my father would send me a check with his Christmas card by the end of the year, like he have done in the past. It would cover that $100 refund to make it. As for the other money, I have $87 for my Upwork earnings. Until I land new jobs next month or next year, it would make up a-third of my Paypal money. I might have to look for fixed price/hourly jobs that's for $50 or more, too. I would try to make up more money via Hub Pages, Swagbucks, here at Mylot and other places to go into my Paypal account in the weeks and days to come.
I would love to spend some money to buy my brother and SIL two gift cards for Christmas next month via my savings account. If not, depending on my claim, I would have to dip into my checkings, if I have enough. I'll keep you posted next weekend if anything changes between now and then. For now on, I trust Geek My PC to resolve my computer problems.

I would never trust any third party company. Hope the bank fixes it soon.

Me too April. I hope it doesn't go into January 2018 at this rate.

@thislittlepennyearns I agree. I wouldn't mind my money back as an early Christmas present from my bank. The sooner the better IMO.

My dear if anyone tells you that they will fix your computer remotely tell them thanks but no thanks especially if they are over seas. 9 times out of 10 if they get your money you are not going to get it back. If you gave them your account number please change it or you will find charges on it that you do not recognize. I have had people try to do this to me before I know better but I was too cheap to fall for it and then after some research I found that those sites are all scams. I hope you get your money back.

That is awful. I am sorry you had this happen. I had an issue with a motel charging on authorized money on my bank card one time and it seemed like it took forever and a dy to resolve it

Me too. I did get my debit card yesterday in the mail. I just activated it today. That's not good for that hotel to do that to you.

That is a lot of $$. I know one bank we used to Bank with never took my side on one purchase I say was Fraud made in CA and charged to my account, and I am in WA... so that is part of the reason we had to switch banks. Hope your issue can be solved soon in your favor.

Thanks Ricki. That's what I've read online-10 days to review case and then dispense the credit.
