When it comes to Selling online, there are many ways a person can do so. I am sure there are many here who have at least tried it, and some that are really doing quite well with it. For me, my sales comes in spurts, but when they are Good there really is No complaints. Let's see, there is Etsy, eBay, Amazon, Bonanza and Shopify. I have had accounts with all of these, but never sold anything yet on Etsy or Shopify. eBay and Amazon I have done really well with and at times, Bonanza does tend to hold it's own. I know there are others out there... Just have never tried anything else out. What is your experience with selling online, and is it something you think you could in time make a good living from? ~~TINA~~

I've used Ebay and have done quite well there. Our postage costs are now so high that it's now hardly worth the effort.

That is one of the reasons I have chosen to do drop shipping with my items as the company I am getting them from pays the shipping and most of the time it is included so that makes it nice

Selling online can be very profitable as well as time consuming. I enjoy the business with the sales and profit, as long as i can still enjoy life.

@shaggin I sell lately a lot of Sports related merchandise, but I have been known to sell just about anything. Mostly I dropship so that gives me the chance to be more diverse with everything.

Our country is too small, we do nothing good with any of those sites, except Amazon.

Yes, in some areas eBay may not be the way to go. Amazon is everywhere so I am sure that is a good one.

Most people in my country use other local platforms, for us it's easier and faster to sell there than on sites like Amazon or eBay.

That makes sense. as I think overall, that is the reason there are so many different types of sites out there for people to choose to sell on.

That can be a problem. That is why I have enjoyed my journey the last 3 1/2+ yrs dropshipping. Then I don't have to worry about issues like this as much.

I quit doing Amazon FBA due to it being expensive. Love eBay and Bonanza.

I don't sell online. It is great to hear that you have done well in eBay and Amazon. They are very famous selling websites.

Yes they are. I like how it helps teach a little about sales in general and has taught be what to look out for and be aware of.

It seems different sites work better for different things. Like clothing I tend to sell on eBay and old textbookd I would sell on Amazon. Shopify I have not heard of yet.

Textbooks is a good one for Amazon. I have heard of and know people who have sold books they find really cheap somewhere and sell them on Amazon for over $200. I found a cookbook I got for like $1 and sold for over $30 on Amazon

It can be a lot of work selling on the different platforms. Amazon especially if you want to consider FBA unless you really know what you are doing and only sending in Top selling items, can be very expensive.

I sort of dabble in selling online. I have used eBay, never tried amazon because I mostly dropship and that is against their T&Cs. Shopify is good, but you do have to market your store yourself because it doesn't work the same as Amazon and eBay where people can come and see all the stores. I have a friend who uses Shopify to run a store with just a Facebook page which I think is interesting. I have another friend who tried selling on Schpock, but she didn't have that much luck.

Have you ever tried Bonanza? For many it is a Hit or Miss, but many enjoy it who do. I had a huge sale about 3 weeks on an item there. It was a nice profit too, as I dropship on eBay, and Bonanza and many times have done that on Amazon.
