i usually prefer love stories where they are childhood friends or neighbors... i know it is cliché but it is quite cute and innocent? I also like those that start as the pair is at odds or opposites. Or, this is kind of weird, where one of the pair cross dresses because he or she is hiding from something or want to follow their dream. And of course, love stories that involve the fantasy world, and fantasy creatures like vampires, witches or sorcerers.. but no, not Twilight, never Twilight What about you?

I like realistic storylines. And, the actors or characters have to be ones I think would really be attracted to one another. Yes, the fantasy world is a plus because then you can do pretty much whatever you like with the characters.

indeed, chemistry between the actors is important too

I'm not much of a romance story person. The story needs to have some depth to it, a good plot, not the 180 page no detail book that is the same as all the others on the shelf, just with different characters and locations.

indeed, romance only is quite boring when you watch too much of it.

@lady1993 The movies are as bad as the books - no depth to them. Though occasionally I'll find one worth watching, but that's not very often.

My favorite ones are where they fall apart and grow apart but eventually reunite and work out i like the angst in the movie before the happy ending

@lady1993 That's it. Real life is interesting enough. I don't need fantasy worlds.

Yes, I like the ones that start off as opposites because they say opposites don't attract when indeed they do! LOL

i guess it just depends on the person because some are opposites and they fight all the time instead of complimenting each other
