Would you give a Christmas present to someone you didn't know?

I ordered some of the flip top convertible gloves online, and then I found some at JC Penny's now I am not sure what to do with the other gloves. My mom has some..my sister doesn't really need gloves..and I don't really know anyone else to give them to. I was thinking of maybe giving them to my son's girlfriend..but I don't know her. I hear a lot about her..would it be strange to offer a gift to someone you don't know..or would it be a nice gesture? What do you think?

No, I doubt it..I think she should be but not sure son feels comfortable with that yet.
