I found a book that truly touched my heart

Have you ever come upon a book that you never knew existed, and you think it sounds good, so you buy it , not really knowing what to expect, and then after reading it, it ends up being one of the most sweet and meaningful books you have ever read, it touches your heart like no other book?
That happened to me a couple of months ago. I was shopping at my local Thrift Shop and saw a book that had some age to it. But, it had been kept nice by it's previous owner. It was only a dollar. It looked good, so I bought it.
It is a true story about a woman who adopts an injured Starling Bird and how her life changes for the better by adopting the bird.
The name of the book is "Arnie the Darling Starling", written by the owner of the bird Margarete Sigl Corbo.
It is a very touching and moving story.

No I have never heard of it but I am an animal lover so I bet I would like it! I am reading "Southern Lights" by Danielle Steel right now.

I haven't heard of it..but I do read things like that once in awhile. I read all of the James Herriot books.

Never heard about it but I do like stories like that. One book I really enjoyed was by Jacquelin Susann which she wrote about her pet poodle Every Night Josephine.

Not one I have heard of but it sound interesting. I am trying to read books from different countries around the world and doing quite well !
