I'm wondering if Doctors here in our country can really save lives?

I've been sick for 4 years now and I encountered a lot of Doctors during those years. None of them makes us feel better, to be honest. As long as we are taking the prescribed medicine, and our twice and thrice a week Dialysis, they said we are safe. But we don't want to be just safe, we want to be cure from this illness. As of this moment, a lot of people are suffering from Kidney Failure. Even kids ages from 3 years old above are experiencing this kind of disease and Doctors still doesn't have any cure for this uncontrollable sickness. All of them keep saying that the solution is Dialysis. And I know they are making a lot of money out of it. Watching The Good Doctors somehow makes me believe that there are still good Doctors out there who really can save lives. Who are very eager to save lives. Unlike those Money-making Doctors out there who know nothing but to spread disease other than curing the diseases. If there is a Doctor here, I do apologize.

I know a man who was critically ill, with kidney failure. His brother Steve gave him a kidney, because he was extremely healthy. Then, Michael became very healthy, also! Ask about a kidney transplant, they do work to restore one's health!

Yes, but I don't trust Doctors here. I heard a lot of stories. Kidney patients who undergone Kidney Transplant did not last for a year, and went back to being a Dialysis Patient, if ever by chance of a Kidney Transplant, I want my operation to be done in the US. I heard a lot of good Doctors there.

I just don't feel to agree with you. You are saying it out of frustration. It is just what I think. No offense, please. I hope you get well soon.

I understand that is why I apologize. Maybe I am frustrated to be okay. Like no more depending on some Machine. It's hard you know. Maybe in your country, you have good doctors who really cure people. Unlike here with us.

@JustBhem Maybe, I can be wrong and there are some doctors who out of greed suggest you expensive cures. But, as much as I know about Kidney failure, the only cure is dialysis and that what biology suggests.

@hazydaiscrazy Are there any other ways to cure this other than Dialysis? Dialysis cannot cure us just for the record. They can extend our lives and still, we are not cured. We still have a renal failure.

I can understand your reasoning but without dialysis the outlook would be very grim indeed. At least they have managed to work out a way of helping people like yourself while they work on a cure.

Yes, Dialysis can help us but it cannot as well. It will help eliminate our body tissues, muscle to brittle and most of the time make us miserable because of our physical look.

the medical and nursing professions help the people who are sick, into getting treated. doctors cannot cure sick people, they can only treat them. the cure is from God. and we are not God. it is definitely wrong to say that doctors primarily get money from the patients. if you consider me, a nurse, it is definitely wrong for us to not assist the patients in to getting well. the doctors study almost 6 years to be updated to the health issues. why don't you think also about how the sick people contacted their diseases? it is always the 2 sides of a coin. you cannot put to blame all the misfortunes to the one party, when the other party has his or her own errors and mistakes as well. some TV series should be true to life. and the medical professionals should have the ardent faith in God to help them treat the sick.

@JustBhem i agree with you. by the way, have you visited a doctor, Doctor Bunch, who sees patients for free, but the medicines should be bought in her clinic? i will post the link and send to you in PM. but i don't think you can go there, so send them a message about your condition

Sorry to say this, but I still don't believe it. You are a nurse and I trust nurses because they always say the truth and they are the ones who make us feel better. The lead people who help us get to our feet. Unlike Doctors, they can only check us in a matter of 5 minutes. Then that's it. You can say that because you are from the Medical world. Yes, they cannot cure us it is clear to me now. But at least give us assurance that there is still hope for us. Other Doctors don't believe in miracles instead of Science. They are far different.

@ridingbet They say the same thing, Transplant. Transplant. And they cannot give us assurance about it. Out of 10 patients had Transplant, only 2 are successful. Some go back to being a Dialysis Patient. Other Doctors will scold you if you keep on pushing them to check on you first. Other Doctors are impatient, rude and arrogant. And I still believe that somewhere out there are still good Doctors who study how to cure this kind of illness.

One time I was asked by someone if I'm okay with Transplant. And I said, yes as long as I will have my transplant in the US. I believe Doctors in the US are good. I don't trust Doctors here, just like what happened to my hand. It is not okay.

I also feel that with some doctors they are working as if just to earn a lot of money and having good income without really considering the welfare of their patients. Hope you find a good doctor to help you

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Honestly I doubt that any doctor would promise their patients that they will be cured. That's just not in their hands. There are scientists and researchers all around the world working to discover new treatments and all that but to discover a "cure" is not an easy thing.
