Applying castor oil to the scalp

In the afternoon while I was making some posts on myLot I got a severe headache and could not pay attention to what I was writing. Went out and purchased some tablets. Immediately I recollected home remedy for a headache. Mother used to tell to apply a spoon of Castor Oil to the scalp and to relax for 15 minutes. Instead of taking the tablets in I did what mother was telling.I got a good relief and started the work again. Are there any such home remedies that you can share?
