Oh yes, they should be. They are always misused.

It should be banned at least in the classrooms. Most of the time it is about dating. These are ill effects of advancement of science and technology.

As a teacher, I definitely think they need to be officially banned from the classroom. I confiscate more phones, than anything else. Students are constantly texting eachother, and not paying attention. It is just another distraction. And you know the sad part? Sometimes it is the parents calling or texting. There is no reason to have a phone at school. That is not the reason to be in school. I know kids cannot see the reasoning behind their education now, but believe me, they will appreciate it when they get older.

what is so important during the time they are receiving an education that any child needs a phone in school? as you can tell i don't think there is a necessity for phones in school. if i need to contact my family members at their schools i'll call the school office and explain to them what is so important to intrude on my child's education.
