@JohnRoberts, That is what I thought too. Singer, girl with a pretty face but my curiosity strikes why she was awarded for this big award for women.

I wouldnt have known she was so involved. Thats good! I dont really keep up with celebrities so I have no idea who would be deserving.

I did a little bit of research. Aside from her fight for Lupus and spreading awareness about it, she did a lot of charity works and she's a good speaker too.
