Tasting Pringles Loud Mighty Margherita Pizza Chips

I am a sucker for trying new flavors when costing just a buck at the 99 Cents Store. Pringles Loud Mighty Margherita Pizza chips are not a winner. There is nothing loud or mighty about them. Taste is odd. I do not get the Margherita Pizza because the chips have nothing to do with the drink and there is no pizza flavor. Ingredients for these grain and vegetable chips include dried carrots, peas, spinach and potato plus oat, barley and rice flours. There is an unpleasant lingering aftertaste that has to be du to onion and garlic powders. Calling these chips grain and vegetable provides the illusion of sounding healthier but calories, fat and sodium content seem no different from regular varieties. So you might as well indulge in nacho or BBQ and skip these.

I like potato chips but can never stop at a few so I rarely buy them. I indulge a little if they are offered when we are out.

Like you I'm a sucker for trying different flavours of potato chips. The last unusual flavour I tried was "hot dog". They were actually quite tasty...the lingering flavour seemed to be the mustard. They made no pretence of being healthy.

Loud - I would have thought "loud" meant it had a bold taste. And I would have thought Margherita would be kinda cheese-y or tomato-y flavored. I guess there really is no such thing as healthy chips . Sidenote: hope you're safe from the fire - now it's the other direction along 210 from that last one!!

I am sure they thought loud as bold but not for me.

Thanks for the review. I haven't had Pringles in a long time. Next time I go to the store I will check out the flavors.

They sound gross just from the name. I rarely like any of the new flavors Pringles comes up with!

You must be very adventurous. Judging by the name I would've never even picked them up.

I never liked the taste of Pringles. Although I do like the Dollar store for trying out new items. I bought their UTZ cheese curls which were very tasty and as good as Cheese puffs. I also bought the Chex Mix. It comes in a smaller size, but compared with the prices in the grocery store, you could buy 2 and it would still be cheaper.
