Favorite "Real People Songs #7 - "Miles Davis' Funeral"

Although it's been awhile, this band has made numerous appearances in my music countdowns. We are at #7 in my Favorite "Real People" Songs series, which is just songs with a real person in the title. The seventh spot belongs to "Miles Davis' Funeral" by Morphine.
"Miles Davis' Funeral" is the final track on Morphine's 1993 album, Cure for Pain.
It is a short, haunting piece of beauty that is totally different than Morphine's usual two- finger slide bass/saxophone/ drums blues/jazz sound.
I've linked to an audio only album version, which has a cool photo of Miles playing his trumpet.
Enjoy!

@teamfreak16 -- here's Robbie's take on Miles. (If you watch at the end, after they play the opening riff of "Sixteen Tons," he points at me because I was laughing my butt off at them "quoting" that song at the end!)

I felt as if I could feel the sadness through the music.

@teamfreak16 I listened to it for years, and then my CD disappeared. I think my ex- psycho hose beast stole it and then had it stolen from her car.

@TheHorse - Really? That sucks. That's one you'd like to hang onto.
