What Type Of Gifts Do You Like To Receive?

I was just sitting here thinking about what type of gifts to give some people. I am by far wealthy so I am thinking whether I should give practical things or fun things? Maybe a few go out to eat gift cards? or just plain old Walmart gift cards?
People think because I cook at home a lot or because I home can I want kitchen stuff, No. I hate getting Christmas gifts that is kitchen stuff. Pots and pans, cookie sheets or baking pans. I already have what I need for the kitchen.
So I either have to ask or give a gift card.
What do you hate to get for Christmas?

Honestly, I like cash or gift cards. I haven't received any gifts I didn't like recently.

I usually tell everyone not to buy me anything, sure gifts are nice but I do not need anything.

I have cupboards full of unwanted toiletries sets. I know they are expensive, but most of the things in them I never use. I much prefer getting vouchers, preferably ones I can spend at the garden centre in the spring and summer. I usually buy gift cards for others, then they can get what they want.

I recycle those gifts. I cannot stand those smells either.

My sister and parents buy what they find on clearance for gifts instead of asking me what my kids and I would like. I hate getting size L clothes when I wear an XL. We usually donate most of what they give us unfortunately. I give them money so they can buy what they need or want.

I agree. The unwanted gifts I get I put into a tub in the closet and I recycle them, when someone has a birthday or for next Christmas.

@shaggin one reason is that the gift card might be to a store I do not go to.

I usually know where the people go that I would buy a gift card for.

I think it's ridiculously that anyone would think a woman wants cooking or cleaning materials for Christmas. I hope you get a lot of gift cards this year, so you can get what you want.

Anything with perfume in it, I am very fussy about my scents, I like jasmine and soft scents and I like shea butter in my lotions etc.

@andriaperry Chocolates and I like gift cards too. I get a lot of pleasure just trying to decide how I'll spend the money. A book or maybe tickets to a show. But I don't really like too much being spent on me.

every Christmas it gets harder and harder to know what I want. when I was young I wanted everything. now that I'm older I find I really want nothing as I can buy what I want when I want it. I don't want clothes I prefer to buy them myself. except Chicago Cubs shirts. That's what I get every year for years now from my sons. Maybe before I die they will come up with something different lol,.

@andriaperry I can understand that, I would love an early 60's Volkswagon Beetle, just to pop around town in, I tell hubby this every year, I'm still waiting lol.

Since I do not celebrate Christmas I will tell you some of the things I like to get from others. I like to get earrings. I love earrings. If someone wants to have a pillow made for me that would be nice. Most other things I buy myself because I am not sure what brand to get.

Well once someone bought me a deep fryer and they knew I was on a diet, so they wasted money because I never used it and it sat in the shed, still there.

@andriaperry - I realized eventually that it wasn't anything I would pick for myself, rather, what someone else thinks you would look "nice" in.
