PTSD

Do anyone else suffer from PTSD? It is a hard thing to deal with when you have a family. My husband and daughter tells me sometimes that I am going crazy, but i beg the differ. I am not going crazy , but they just can't understand how this affects me sometimes. On top of it I have diabetes and a few other things going on with my health. So I think I function very well. Wish that they could understand sometimes. The reason I have PTSD is that I am trying to get over being raped not once but twice. So that is a hard pill to digest. But its life.

Well hell yeah being raped can make a difference. You don't just forget about it. I was raped at 5 by my uncle and then again by my own father at 11 @sunny78lahey . I dealt with it by realizing I had nothing to do with it and they were both a**holes.

That's definitely rough to deal with, both for you and your loved ones. Unfortunately sometimes we don't perceive how well we're functioning correctly when suffering from mental health issues. Do you have a therapist that you're working with to overcome your PTSD? Sometimes that can make a world of difference, especially with all of the advances being made in the field recently. It's not something that you have to suffer through alone.

I have a battle with all the stress I incurred through the years. I won't go down the list. It's way too long. But now I have the power. It's rough out here. Seems you can't trust anybody, and I am still looking over my shoulder all the time. Remember, you have the power. It no longer can control you, fear or anything else.
