Frozen Car Door Locks - Oh My!

I took on a retirement job at a convenience store/gas station and part of my job is to run my car through the carwash to make sure it is functioning correctly. The water must hit my car at just the right angle, because now both of my car door locks are frozen. I can't lock the car or I can't get in and it is frustrating to say the least. Today at Walmart I bought some stuff that is supposed to de-ice locks but it does not specifically say for car door locks so I am hesitant to use it. Anyone have any ideas on how to unfreeze and dry out the locks so they stay unfrozen?

A blow dryer and a long cord. The car lock de icer is usually sold in the automotive department and can be carried on a key chain. Oh, another tip, if you can get the key in the lock, is to warm the key before inserting it.

Thanks - great tips! I bought the lock de-icer in the automotive section at Walmart but maybe I need to go to an auto parts store.

Thanks! In all my years I have never had this happen before lol. I hate to think I might have to access my car by climbing in through the trunk until spring!
