Why is it the moment you tell someone that you don't believe in God (or any form of traditional religion), they lose their minds. I've literally had people tell me I'm going to hell; which is ironic because I don't recognize the existence of the place.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions and beliefs.. or so I thought.

As long as someone respects my beliefs I respect theirs. It's all about free will. Oh and everyone is going to hell. Hell is simply the grave.

I would laugh at anyone who told me that and ask if they could prove the existence of either hell or their fabled heaven.

@summerx From what I have seen, religion and religious beliefs for some becomes addictive. But as long as it keeps a person happy and at peace there is no problem. But when religious beliefs turn into fanaticism and extremism that dictates a believer to kill and destroy , they become dangerous to the society.

Agreed. I'm not one to say what I believe is more correct than the next person. In my experience, its always the super religious folks that take it too heart when you express that you don't believe. From there, it turns into a 'conversion' type situation, and I just like.. no thank you.

Some beliefs should be challenge. What if we believe is wrong? We should make sound reasoning. We should do research to see if our beliefs are correct
