I remember frying some eggplants, peppers and onions in olive oil. Add a little salt and some spices and it tastes great. How can one mess it up?

@Icydoll I'm 68 years old and so over the years I have tried cooking many things. These days, I don't cook anymore as I try to eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and sometimes go to a restaurant for a mistreat.

I was a teenager. I dumped pasta into cold water. I didn't know that would just make a huge gloppy mess. My Dad came over and looked in the pot and helped me dump the food out and start over.

I was young and remember sitting on my grandmother's metal high chair thing with a pull out stairs. So I could see over the counter/island. It was mostly sorting things she chopped and putting it in bowls or pans.

It is hard to recall my first experience as I was very young. It most likely involved helping with breakfast. Scrambled eggs was one of the first things I learned to make.
