Competition exist and has for a very long time. A little competition is healthy but too much competitive and individuals lose their minds. "There are some competitors always looking for ways to get their competition down." (Tanikka Paulk) If more elevated then we'll notice that the economy will become more stabilized. There are so many folks so competitive and no matter what their competition does they'll continue to compete.
Trying to avoid the competition is very difficult to do. They're always observing to see what their competition is up to. So many appear to spies always trying to watch and see what the next moves are. Some competitors go as far as to try and sabotage their competition in every way "possible." One must be alert and understand that any person can be their competition however there are some individuals aware of just how to compete.
Some competitors are extremely aggressive and will try to push their competition out of the way. There are some working behind closed doors trying to find ways to get next to their competition. The very smart risers will make moves that their competition isn't aware. Tell the competition what needs to be heard but the rest "should be" in silent mode. True competitors won't need to sabotage their competition, their talent and creativity alone will be enough for the elevation, the ones feeling insecure will try to use intimidation tactics and other tactics to get their competition down.

Trying to avoid the competition is very difficult to do. You are right. Progression is the key, not perfection!

Living with a perfectionist is hard work. The intimidation is used to bring another person down, when they're already on the bottom of the barrel! Competitiveness can be overwhelming, for others involved with this person, at home and at work.

Its sad at times that people often try to compete when they don't even understand the reasons/purpose behind another actions.
I think being competitive in a good way is a wonderful thing that can benefit all. It just is not a useful thing when its used as a weapon to harm others.
