I was super excited to try out an Indian recipe which my husband likes very much. We have always tried it outside in restaurants or food stalls. Wanted to surprise my husband preparing it at home watching it make online. I made sure that everything is what's described in the video, but the outcome was not as shown in the video. My plan to surprise my husband has blown up in smoke. Did something like this ever happen with you? Image Credit: Pixabay

Haven't tried any online recipe or cooking for that matter. I prefer washing dishes than cooking.

Not knowing about Indian cuisine, I just checked a few websites and saw some photos. They kind of look the same to me.

@kavinitu There is a saying - "Try and try again, you will succeed at last." Therefore, there is no need to surrender but you should keep your efforts on. PS - I notice that you have posted your comments around 1.50 am (mid night). Do you remain awake during night?

@kavinitu I stopped baking a long time ago Kavita. I have an old stove and each summer I think of getting a new one but wait to make sure I do not need something else too.

@Hannihar I would love to see you baking again and am sure you will make it the way you use too. Can the old stove still be used?

Yes, I'm not sure why, but it has happened to many times. Maybe, that's why I don't like to cook.

Yes, I would say frequently! I love to cook, but I am not very talented in the kitchen. Once in awhile, I come up with a winner though!

@snowy22315 I don't understand why this happens with all those who are not interested in cooking but always are a winner. Even my husband he is least interested in cooking but makes the perfect always.

I have had my fair share of blown up recipe's trails, but I always put a plan B in place so we do not all go hungry. Do not give up, practice makes perfect.
