Oh, I guess I do have one! I got a Nintendo 64 for Christmas when I was in 7th grade, along with a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I still have it, too... and with how my kids have been enjoying the new Zelda game for the Nintendo Switch, I just might have to pull it out and hook it up. My husband got his mom and brother to help wrap him in a box for me one year... does that count?

@yukimori That's better than him jumping out of a cake for your birthday!

I don't have many memories of presents that stand out. For the last few years we've been doing token gifts under the tree... this year, I saw a clearance sheet set at Target that I liked so I bought it for my husband to wrap for me. Honestly, I get more enjoyment out of watching the kids enjoy their gifts than anything else. That might be the best present for me...

Many times it's more fun to give than receive. Seeing others eyes light up when they get their bestest present ever, is your bestest present ever.

@db20747 It really is. It's funny, because my kids are getting a bunch of stuff other than toys this year... I'm so tired of picking up the damn toys around the house. I made up big baskets filled with bath products like lotion and bath bombs, and they're also getting a bunch of art supplies. Which is probably a bad idea, because the little one loves coloring on my walls, the furniture, the blinds, and so on. At least my landlord has been understanding and just laughed when she saw the chalk on the blinds in our living room the other week. The good thing is that they're super into bath stuff, so they should love the baskets, and they've been begging for art supplies. It's so weird... the older one has a friend who wants her to get her a very specific toy for Christmas, but neither of mine have ever asked for any specific toys in advance. I usually just get my ideas by window shopping and seeing what they ask for while in the store. Shoot, my big kid asked for a giant wire basket from Target the other day instead of toys. Next year's plan is to make the big gift an experience. Those seem to go over way better than anything else we get them. We're thinking of maybe taking them to the Grand Canyon by train, or even just doing the Christmas Eve run of the Polar Express train from Williams for them.

I do not remember, I loved all the presents that my parents bought for me. May be the best was a gold and enamel brooch that my father bought for me.

One that stands out is the year our daughter-in-law (now ex) gave us tickets to a Christmas Trans Siberian Orchestra concert. It was fantastic!

I only have my memories of the best Christmas spent with my family when I was much younger. Coming close are the hand made cards and bracelets my daughter made for me when she was 9 years old.

Yeah have to say video games of some sort. Used to love pretending to be sick so I could play some Madden before Madden was even a game. Got so good it became boring and did not want to stay home from school anymore. Not for that reason anyway.

I always buy something that I want every year and consider that my best Christmas present because it is something that I wanted.

My dad was a fighter pilot in the Navy. He had this amazing leather bombers jacket from his days as a pilot. When I was 16, he gave me that jacket for Christmas. He told me if I took great care of it, it would last forever and I could eventually pass it on to my own son (he was obviously optimistic that I would have a son someday). I loved that jacket, and wore it everywhere, even when it was too hot to wear! Fast forward to now, and I still have that jacket, and still wear it. My own teenage son is already eyeing it, and I told him that once he grows a little more to where it fits him, I will hand that jacket over to him as a Christmas present. I meticulously oil the leather every year, so the jacket still looks almost brand-new!

My first Barbie doll. I loved it so much, and it was the first time I saw Velcro.

I think it was probably my childhood toy farm which my father made from wood and my Mum painted. It was gorgeous and lasted years.
