Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, and I Was Just Joking!!

This morning my boss got back into the office after a trip that thankfully didn't take him through the Atlanta airport. During a meeting about our conference I joked that we had planes and trains disasters, now all we needed was automobiles today.
I. Was. JOKING.
This evening, while watching coverage of the train derailment near Seattle online on their local news stations, they had breaking news that a tour bus had crashed in Mexico, killing at least a dozen.
So, since Sunday, we've had planes (the power outage at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport), trains (the Amtrak derailment in Washington), and automobiles involved in "incidents."
It's actually very sad to see such trouble in the holiday season when so many are traveling, trying to get home to enjoy the holidays with friends and loved ones (or getting away for the holidays). Of course, with the increased number of travelers this time of year, it's understandable that issues with public transportation will get more attention.
Here's a song from the soundtrack of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

That's sad. I am always afraid of being in an accident (my dad drives like a nutcase and has been in several accidents over the years, so it's no wonder I'm paranoid about it.) I feel for the people who were involved in these accidents, and the family of the deceased.

It's even more heartbreaking to lose a loved one during Christmas, and I feel so bad for all their families.
