I have a question though are any of you writers/Authors? I wanted to know if you used your maiden name or your married name on your books? I am trying to figure out what to do when it comes to my books and anything else that I write. I don't know what to do anymore. Do you have any ideas my nickname is lucky, but I was trying to use my real name Lakeyia. Maiden name is Thompson and married is Lugo. Thanks

If I was an author I would definitely use my real name. Your name is your "brand", and people will become accustomed to your brand and seek you out. These are modern times, use your name, get it out there, even if you publish a book now that you are not proud of in the future. It will show humility and give confidence for other aspiring writers. Be proud and confident of yourself. PS : It's a lovely name

@Keyia120 If there are previous publications under your maiden name then keep using that one (unless you have something against that family name LOL). In a way its better (it's you), however still has the private aspect (people may not pick up on it easily when you are rich and famous).

If you had already some books printed under your maiden name, you should better continue to use it, otherwise you can use whatever name you want, including a pen name, but when your choice will be made you will have to keep it for all your writings, or at least for all your writings of the same kind.

It's not a problem you may use any of your name there. Or you may keep imaginary name also if can do.
