Old generation bananas

You know how when you eat something banana flavored, ice cream or some sort of candy, it tastes similar to a banana, but not so much? The reason is because over 70 years ago we were eating better bananas They tasted better, they lasted longer, they were more resilient and didn't require artificial ripening. In other words, they were better fruit, because they belonged to a different species, or cultivar in banana parlance. During the 40s, it was informed that they went extinct due to the Panama disease, a fungal disease that started out from Central America and quickly spread to most of the world's commercial banana plantations, leaving no other choice but to burn them down. The reason the majority of bananas went extinct, or just weren't possible to save, was because they have nearly no genetic diversity, the plants are all clones of one another. One of the main characteristics of evolution is genetic diversity, which bananas lack, even these days that they've managed to develope a new species of them. So there you go, appreciate your bananas a little more as they could disappear quite quickly. Like anything else, really.

I am wondering why your profile picture is upside down. Will you make it upright? I hope you will do so.

@Opheliasins Oh! I am sorry if there are any mistakes I have made. I too felt the same. Many others were trying to teach me but I felt the same as you are doing. I don't think anyone is making fun of you. Well, I hope you will enjoy myLotting, eventually.

Respectfully, i think it's a minor issue that many won't really mind enough to comment on. Obviously i'm still new here so i don't understand every guideline and rule but that doesn't mean i'm "good at kidding", thank you.
