This Is Why Democrats & Republicans Will Never Agree

It's because their 'essential beliefs' (beliefs that no amount of "reasoning" will ever change) are different---the essential beliefs I'm thinking-of are beliefs they don't even talk about (they both consider them so crucial that they both consider them "natural," like 'shadow & light' or 'breathing out & breathing in'). Republicans behave as if their function is separate from their humanity, while Democrats behave as if their humanity is inseparable from their function. Maybe that's why Republicans flat-out deny allegations of "human sickness (that too often goes a little too far into animals' nature)" while Democrats embrace it (resigning their commissions in favor of being such beasts).
