Can you live without respect?

Seeing as I lived my entire school life without anyone respect me, yeah I can. But I respect people. But it is possible to love but not respect. I love my grandma, I am grateful for her, but I do not respect what she does or thinks of certain things. Also, a lot of parents to kids who have committed crimes, they still love their kids, they just don't respect their actions.

Love can fade but respect lasts a life time. It is better to live a decent life and demand the respect that you need through your actions.

We are responsible for our own act it's very hard to know how others will react toward us. I think it's possible to love someone and on the same time not always having toward this person respect for many reasons. Human nature is complicated.
