Good morning! I woke a little earlier than what I had the clock set for, to wake me up. I was hot, I had piled on the blankets last night. I had been dreaming of the neighborhood children, where the rentals are, they we just out playing. One tenant had bought a corvette and put up a carport. It was a strange dream but tame compared to some I have.
If the weather permits I will go out and finish the dogs area, its gonna be cold next and I want them to have all the space they can to run and play. I also need to pick greens, some to home can and some to freeze for new year day, eating greens is one Southern tradition.
What do you have planned for today?

Those too, but I make pea patties cause we dont like just eating those plain.

@thislittlepennyearns mash the peas slightly, add a egg, a little flour, little cornmeal and a finely diced onion, mix together and fry in a skillet with just a touch of hot oil. brown on each side. You usually have to add oil with each skillet. some add sausage or ham, I don`t like meat in them.

I had a lazy day recovering from running around during the holidays. Now I have to go grocery shopping, and when I get home I will probably look for some freelance work, since a project I was working on ended.

I still have to do paperwork here. I did not make it outside to cold.
Yes I am, weak but the crud is going and the coughing is less.

Yes they are what they call cold hardy, collards will live till Springtime. The heat is what kills them.

Mike and I have some light yard work to tackle. I don't mind doing the work but it is really cold. We may go to 30 today. We hit a balmy 34 yesterday. Still talking as if we may see a little snow tomorrow. Wait and see. Enjoy your greens.
