This is a tad early I know....

This is a bit early and a day early for a lot of you here but wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year.
My brother and I are in Sydney at the moment staying with my Nan. We are going back home ( Perth ) on 6th of January. It is 10:50pm here so it's getting close to 2018 here.
I am sitting here with my Nan, my brother couldn't make it lol he fell asleep like 2 hours ago. I on the other hand can not sleep. Another year is coming and I am not exactly where I want to be yet. In regards to my life.
I am also a little sad that I am ( just like every year ) inside for the New Year. I was telling my Nan tonight that I don't recall being out to see the fireworks before once New Years hit. Only ever seen them on TV. There has always been a reason as to why I haven't been out. Last year I was in hospital lol Year before that I was stood up by my then boyfriend. Year before that, same boyfriend at the time was too high to go out. Year before that my family wanted me to stay with them and pretty much every other time before that I was with family or stuck inside with another then boyfriend who was an a$$ hat to me.
I really want 2018 to be a year where I can achieve a lot to better my future and just better myself in general.
I well and truly wish the very best for every single person here. For you, your family and friends. Too much has been going on lately in this World. I have my doubts that it will get any better from here but just like every year, all we can do is hope.
Happy New Year.

@VivaLaDani13 You're very welcome. And thanks. I'm sure 2018 has to be better than 2017 for me.
From the tiimes I've interacted with you on myLot you seem like a very intelligent, down to earth, lovely young woman. I genuinely hope you get to where you want to be in life.
One tip. Avoid men. Well, avoid the idiots. You deserve much better than you appear to have had in that department. I say that as a father to a young woman of a similar sort of age to you.
I wish you good luck but don't rely on luck. Go and make things happen for yourself. You are smart enough to get whatever you want.

Happy New Year, Dani. I hope the start of this new year is much better for you than the past ones you describe. You deserve so much better. As for the world in general, I feel a bleak outlook but WANT to hope.

Happy New Year to you too!!! It already started on a good note and mine too. (Will tell you later!) I have never been out and seen fireworks during New Years either. It is hellish cold at that time and it is not safe to be out in crowded places where celebrations are going on for the public (unless it is a party at your relatives or friends) because hooligans get drunk and their mob mentality is dangerous for girls.

@Daljinder Did you tell me the news yet? Remember I was tired? So.....yeah I'm so sorry if you've already told me.
LOL I love how you said it was hellish cold because those two don't go together. I sometimes say cold as hell....though...ya know...hell ain't cold lol

@Daljinder ok good! I really worry sometimes. Ya know the whole memory thing. Though sometimes I have a good excuse being tired and all lol Been quite a few occasions where my dad wants to tell me something important but asks me if I am awake enough to remember later on lol
AH you're so right! Damn it. Have a cookie!

@VivaLaDani13 No, I haven't told you yet. So, you didn't forget or miss any of it. Will do when you are back in Perth and well-rested.
That's a matter of opinion. The hell isn't cold I mean. I think definition of "hell" is different for different people according to their fears, worst case scenarios etc.
