By then the temps should be a lot better than they have been, I hope. I went to the pool today, all bundled in multiple layers with a -21 F wind chill going. I separated my apartment keys from my car keys so I could start the car 15 minutes before leaving, and the car was still cold, but not as cold as it would have been had I been sitting in it waiting for it to warm up. Tonight is Writer's Guild, and we have a writing assignment based on a picture. It needed to be 100 words or less. Here is the story. The picture I chose had lemon frosted cupcakes with flower sprinkles on them. TO DIE FOR Marvana put the last flower sprinkle on the lemon frosted cupcakes, and smiled. She had longed to try the recipe she found in an old cookbook belonging to her late great grandmother. Placing each cupcake in its holder and putting the cover over it to ensure they would arrive damage free, she grabbed her purse, and tray in hand, left for the meeting. Later, she looked around the conference room, smiles on unknowing faces, the lights gone from their eyes, as they stared unseeing at her. Those cupcakes really were to die for.
