Mildred the Cat - Yikes! Way too much snow here!

Hi everybody. It's Mildred the Cat. I don't like what I'm seeing outside and my mom really doesn't like what she's seeing - tons and tons of snow. Right now I'm huddled on the radiator trying to stay alive while my mom paces and looks out the windows muttering, most of which I can't repeat here. Thank heavens my toys and my chicken treats remain safe, bountiful and untouched by all the snow. According to my mom, who is admittedly right about most things, we're experiencing a blizzard, which I'm assuming is not a good thing. Having never been outside, I can't speak from personal experience but to make sure my treats keep coming, I don't question anything that my mom says. Anyhoo, back to the radiator. I'll let my mom do the pacing and worrying and I will rest a bit before lunch and my next nap. By the way, Happy New Year to all my feline, canine and human fans and friends. I hope you have a good one. Till next time, purrs, paws and high fives and stay safe. Luv, Mildred the Cat Image: Mine

Dearest Mildred. I wish I had some of your snow. Is there a special door that you use to get cold? Over here every door seems to open on hot. Morpheus

Hi Morpheus. It's Mildred. Here in CT, USA any door will do. It's cold everywhere during our winters. Do you get winters or just hot weather all the time?

@bwjsdems Dear Morpheus - from what I hear, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like rain any more than I would like snow and freezing weather. I like blankets and radiators and warm naps. Luv, Mildred.

@LindaCPearson Dear Mildred. We get cold weather here in Auckland, but the last few years it hasn't lasted long. The occasional frosty morning when I refuse to set paw outside, but lots of rain. - Morpheus

I did get lots of snacks, a new fleece blanket with cats on it and a new scratching board. I also didn't knock over the Christmas tree or break any ornaments. I've been a very good kitty!!!

Think yourself lucky to have fur. The snow and the cold is worse for us humans.

@LindaCPearson Yes it would, but we have to make do with false skins instead.

To see how my mom is dressing these cold wintry days, I must agree with you. Some beautiful fur (like mine) would do much to improve her appearance!!

Hi Houdi. Nice to hear from you. I've never heard of or seen lizards and voles. I do have catnip mice. That's about as close as I can get to the real thing! I hear you're about to embark on quite an intense photo shoot experience. Good luck with that. With your good looks, we'll all be checking you out! Luv, Mildred the Cat.

@LindaCPearson Thanks. Cruddy winter miseries maybe on their way toward us soon. But....my Sonny Jamie cat has finally hiked his rump home so I can focus on that rather than stuff like freaky roads.

It definitely does help in the winter, although a drag in the summer when I have to get my annual almost life-threatening lion shave to remove it.
