Have you tried Virtual Reality?

Our grandson got a Play Station 4 Virtual Reality set for Christmas. His parents brought it with them when we went to Myrtle Beach last weekend.
There are lots of games and exotic experiences. I tried the deep sea adventure. First mistake.
It was really cool..with the head set on, you can look all around and it's just like being under the ocean with all the beautiful 3D creatures and sea flowers and formations.
I was thoroughly enjoying the experience.
Until the giant shark appeared.
It circled and then bumped the cage I was in. Then it opened its huge jaw and I could see its horrible bloody teeth.
Then it bit the front of the cage and tore it off. It circled again and was heading straight for me, ready to tear my head from my body.
I yelled, "Get this thing off me!!!"
Someone pulled the headset off and everyone was about to die laughing.
It might be funny if you're not the one about to be eaten by a huge shark.
My brain knew it wasn't real, but it was just too real.
I think next time I'll just do something less "exciting."
Like strolling through a meadow filled with wild flowers.
Have you experienced VR?

@1creekgirl I won't argue that they are overpriced. Ridiculous the cost of some things just because they are so desirable.

Most electronics decrease in cost, so you might get one sometime. They can be fun, but I think they're way over priced.

My sister has one but I have never tried it. Gosh that must have been horrible but glad to know you won't be using that one again.

I did. Early last year I bought my son a VR goggle and we had fun just using our phone. Especially the zombie games.

I couldn't ever do the roller coaster one. I went on the kids' small roller coaster at King's Dominion in Virginia years ago and that terrified me! My 14 year old grandson will ride on anything.

@1creekgirl I am afraid of heights so they didn't tell me I was going on the roller coaster, I didn't last on that one very long but I loved the escape room and would love to do one of those for real

I would like to try VR but don't think I'd want to tangle with a shark (real or imaginary)
