Has anyone ever subscribed to Hello Fresh or Blue Apron?

Hello Fresh & Blue Apron are food subscription services where they mail fresh healthy meal plans home to you with step by step instructions and the perfect amount of ingredients.
I am looking into this option because it will save us the headache of what to eat each day and plus, considering how much we spend per month - this would be cutting our costs down by a lot!
I do see raves on YouTube but most of the people reviewing are sponsored, so I'm curious if anyones subscribed personally and what their personal thoughts are? Or, if you know a different food subscription meal plan box? Thanks in advance.

Is she the only one going vegan, or your son also? I didn't know the main ingredient had to be bought from the store. I've seen Hello Fresh come with everything, but then again that's on Youtube and the reviewers are sponsored, so not sure if they have a different meal plan option or not. I'd love to try them in the upcoming months.

@JustBhem It is a box prepared with meat, vegetables - each meal box has 3 meals and they'll come with all the ingredients and instructions to prepare.

Oh, I thought it is a ready-made food. So meaning, you ordered fruits or fresh vegetables?

Hubby says his co-worker uses Blue Apron . . . I don't know much more about it, but I know he's sporty and tries to eat healthy whenever possible (he's a single guy, though he doesn't strike me as someone who is into cooking). I'll have to ask my sister next time who they use . . . she doesn't cook much either . . . but this was a cheaper alternative for her and her husband rather than going to a restaurant all the time - convenient for them.

@infatuatedbby I just saw a box in our garage . . . my sister has a bunch of boxes from the place she uses and she brings them to my parents so we can take leftovers home. She uses "Freshly". Yah, they said it works out pretty well for them! Were they cheaper for a family of 4? I guess then you can save leftovers for another meal too, if it's not all eaten. That's great you guys are going to the gym . . . oh, does he drink those power drinks?

@much2say He takes a protein based whey. :) Nothing hardcore.
I will definitely have to give Hello fresh a go! I think it is like $5 cheaper with family route not too sure. I have to log in first, I was just reading reviews.

I am not into cooking what so ever. But I like how the ingredients all come individually wrapped and just the right amount with step by step instructions. I think that'll be suitable for me who doesn't know how to cook
And I calculated it, not bad at all considering how much we spend eating out/home , etc. This would actually save us a lot of money too! And I checked the prices for family of 4 instead of 2 lol because my fiancé loves to eat! Especially now since we're going to the gym ~ he eats even more he calls it "bulking" since he takes whey and building muscles lol.

Oh they don't come knocking. It's a subscription you sign up online. I don't open doors for solicitors =)

@Madshadi nope they do not go door to door. the door by door people are usually ones who want you to do solar, remodeling or something. we dont answer the doors though, do you? it is not safe to!

@infatuatedbby the ones who came to my house had their tablet convincing me to sign up online. I’m glad they don’t do that there.

One of my co-workers uses Blue Apron, and he and his family seem to like it. They do it because him and his wife absolutely refuse to go grocery shopping! And if they do need anything from the store, they have a delivery service bring it to them! lol

@infatuatedbby I would take advantage of those subscriptions if ALL the ingredients were included in the kit, and all I had to do was mix everything together and throw it in the oven.

That is awesome it would actually save you money compared to what you are already spending going out to eat all the time. I like the idea of it being able to plan the healthy meals out for you so then all you have to do is cook them. Never heard of either service or tried them though.

Oh we have such service here but never availed for that one. People who usually go on a diet would take that service.

Oh! No, not the diet service per se. Just fresh ingredients portioned and ready to cook. So that way you aren't wasting any ingredients and eating something new every time! Also designed for those who have a busy lifestyle, family, or want restaurant quietly but in your own home and delivered home.
Theres also other programs that offer diet plans but I don't want that stuff

I hear both are amazing but Hello Fresh seems a lot easier to prepare thing and there is no waste involved since everything you get shipped is used.
