You think Chicago is the windy city.. should see how it gets in California near the mexican border in the Imperial valley. wow blows so hard you cant see acrooss the street. And the problem here is it blows sand.. Seems like the sahara desert sometimes..

The wind also blows very hard in Jerusalem. It does not blow sand but when I am in my scooter I feel like the wind could blow me over and then that would be a problem. Thank heavens I have a sturdy scooter.

@kayshope We are in the winter here in Jerusalem maria. We have cold days and we need the rain but we get sunny days too. It is hard to know what to wear because it could be cold out in the morning and then warmer.

Yes, I am from Chi-town and it gets pretty windy here. No sand to blow up except by Lake Michigan. I remember holding onto anything, so that I would not lose my footing. Getting blown away was a concern when I was a size 4. LOL It is what it is... lets you know you are alive and well. The wind in the winter here probably matches your thoughts... yet too cold to survive without the right gear. Keep smiling. Prosperous 2018

@kayshope Chicago ain't no joke weather wise. Yet, we are blessed to feel and see any part of it. It was raining yesterday and in the 30-40 degree range. Life is a changing scheme of wonder. Enjoy it all no matter what. Thanks.

Many times ive had to pull car over on freeway, as i cant see 10 feet infront of me. And lots of semi trucks travel here.. so i get my butt of to the side.

Chicago is called the Windy City because of all of the political conventions that were held there. But it really does get windy, especially between tallish buildings in Winter.
