It's year 2012, about 8:00 in the evening while cleaning my room, I felt strange pain at the back of my ear. it continued until morning. I just took it for granted, just like an ordinary day, I went out of the office for official business. While I was in the office of our accredited law firm, I felt heaviness of my right portion of my head, I eventually noticed that something is happening in my face, I requested my closest staff there to lend me a mirror, and there, I noticed the mild deformation of my face.
I rushed myself to the doctor, I was diagnosed with a bell's palsy, my right face was paralyzed, the doctor explained to me everything, the causes, the healing, the whole process. It's quite depressing to live a life when half of your face is not functioning, it weakens my confidence.
The cause: Weak Immune system caused by stress , because I was working from 8am to 5pm, schooling at 5:30 to 9pm, and reviewing for LET board exams during weekends.
The healing: I took rest in a month, and during that period, I took a leave from work, I undergone 3x a week of therapy, did my daily face exercise ,at the beach during weekends, took medecines and lot of vitamin B.
The expenses: WOW ( never mind )
Full recovery took 2 months.
Recovery is a long , hard and expensive process, so you guys take care always, take time to rest from time to time, stress will really put you down.
Good morning!

My sister had that when she was in high school. Half of her face was paralysed and she had to undergo therapy. I just couldn't remember for how long since I was very young at that time. But she was completely healed anyway.

But please remind your sister that once you had that before, there's a tendency to occur it again. So She must be extra careful of her health.

@cttolledo She's a doctor now, I'm sure she knows exactly what to do with her own health.

rest is what we really need in our day to day life most especially when we are working full time. People should atleast remember that "health is wealth."

Recovery indeed is long but you did the first step already and it's the right step to progress. I pray that everything goes well for you. I know it's hard not to think about the expenses. Just focus on getting better because health is wealth. Get well soon and do keep us posted.

Bernadette Sembrano, a news anchor of ABS-CBN, had that condition, and she underwent rigid therapy. now, she looks better.
Bell's Palsy is a condition of one cranial nerve, so i hope you continue doing light massage on your face, or pout, smile, twitch your mouth, wring, or laugh out, so the muscles will be active again.
