Cold winter, heavy coats

I have heard it said that when we are going to have a bad winter the woolly caterpillar gets a heavy coat.
Several times this year it has been said that the winter is going to be mild again.
Looking at Princess, I would not agree. She has a thick, luxurious coat.
I think we shall have quite a bit of cold. Of course she is a CAT, not a CATerpillar.

The first time I was in UK was in Winter. It wasn't as cold as I thought it would be.

one of my cats is a norwegian..she has quite a heavy coat.
..tho she still likes to steal body heat from people while sleeping

I could just about manage wearing that heavy stuff when I was holidaying in the US and Canada and you guys have to be in them for quite a few months. How do you feel?

A very cold winter, All my animals have this thick coat too. Plus the ants are going crazy and to me that is a sign.

She is staying in a lot this year, but yes, when out, this is a nice warm coat for her.

Yes, and her fur is very thick. It could be because we do not heat the house extremely warm either.
