Another rainy day in the Bay

I'm heading off to work in Berkeley. It has been raining all night and morning. I am glad. The various peas we're growing will be happy. And we need as much rain as we can get here in California. I hope this storm front reaches our friends to the South. Is it still bitter cold in the Midwest and back East?

The temperature is hovering around the freezing point here, which seems downright balmy compared to the last few weeks.

But that can also lead to "black ice," right?

Glad you're getting some rain. It is still cold here in NC. Expecting some freezing rain early this afternoon into the evening. Then as the week progresses it will get back to normal temperature wise, 50's not teens and 20's for highs.

I'm glad you are getting a welcomed rain, in California. Here in Michigan, it has warmed up and we're enjoying a temp of around 30 degreesF this afternoon! Jay's outdoors, with his coat unzipped 1/2 way LOL Yikes, I miss fresh homegrown peas, we can't grow them here.

Is there a good season for peas there? It's think Spring or Fall.

@TheHorse Spring and summer, but our property is on gray sand. My parents tried hard to garden when they lived here, even use compost, but got very little produce. We have far too many trees, all the way around us and very limited amount of sunlight. Out in the country(about three miles from our home), the land is very fertile and crops grow beautifully.

There's no rain in Miami. There was a period of coldness but the weather seems to be bright now. Blessings.
