It happened again!!!!!

It happened again!!! What is going on here???? I bought a cheap set of speakers so I could have something to play my music. I have not had them for 24 hours, and the new speakers wires have been cut. This time they looked like they have been chewed a little. It is not a clean cut break like the last time. The crazy thing is... Whatever is doing this is not touching the wires going to the wall socket. Just the wires to the speakers. I don't have the money to keep buying speakers, and I want to play my music. I called the landlord, and he is clueless. What the heck is going on???

Sounds like you have a house guest of the four-legged variety. I’d suggest you try getting a glue trap and putting it right by the speakers, because it definitely sounds like a mouse has a taste for speaker wire.

Well... This time I opted for a boom box. No speaker wires!!! The sound quality is not that great...but at least have something until we can get rid of the critter!!! Traps have been set...but not in my room. I hate the sound of a mouse being caught. Ugh!!!

@teresatrotter — I know, that’s why I use glue traps. No sound or mess to clean up.

@FourWalls - Yeah... I wrote a new post, and my landlord used glue traps this time. It is just going to be awful to look at... I told him that he will have to get it, if it gets caught. He said it would.

Did you ask someone that knows about those things what the problem could be?

@teresatrotter I hate rats. I saw one once go up a building on the outside. It was big.

Do they look chewed? I suspect that there is a rat inside your house.
