The secret garden

Ever seen the movie Avatar? Well I haven't (not really my type of movie, to be honest), but at least now I know what the "Pandora world" in the movie looks (and feels!) like.
The picture you can see up there is one of the photos I took of the Avatar Secret Garden during my weekend-getaway to Penang (another state up north) recently.
The colors were dazzling, it was just magical. It started to drizzle while we were there but luckily we got to spend long enough time to enjoy the experience. It was close to the beach too but since it was night time it was a bit too dark to take pictures of the beachfront.
Anyone visited any unusual places lately? What was the last interesting place you visited?

It really is! And yeah it's not my kind of movie either, even after visiting that place I don't feel like watching the movie.

I don't even know what it's about, I just remember there was a big hype about it when it came out.

Yes it's really beautiful, even during the day there are things to see but of course you won't get to enjoy the view of those lights during the day.

@cahaya1983 That's a restaurant in Door County, Wisconsin. My friend and I ate there on our way to our three day holiday on an island a little north of there. It's called Al Johnson's and is a huge tourist attraction.

It is, it's not that big but the view is beautiful and it's really worth a visit.

Yes it is! I kind of remember certain scenes from the trailer but never watched the movie.

Thank you! I just got to know about the place a few days before leaving, glad we could visit. I've never watched the movie but I kind of remember it was a big hit when it came out.

Niagara Falls is gorgeous! I went there once, but too bad we couldn't stay to watch the night view.

Thanks! Yes the Butterfly Farm is another popular attraction in Penang. Hope you also got to visit the Feringgi beach.

(On first look, and second look, etc, I thought those were lights shining on spider webs. Only after reading your post that I realized it was about something else.

Now that you mention it, they do look a little like lit-up spider webs! But no they're just strings of lights hanging from tree branches and all.

I didn't watch the movie, but yeah the garden is inspired from that movie so I'm sure the setting was really beautiful in the movie as well.

That forest is were they communicate with their GOD eywa most likely a living omnipotent being on the planet.

It was amazing! Although the place itself isn't that huge but the landscape is really beautiful at night. I'm glad we went there.
