Fired and burned

My self esteem needs so much nursing right now. I just got let go by my employer (part time) after 6 months probationary period under the premise that I was unable to keep up with the pace of the workplace.
I've accepted that now, and don't intend to beg for a second chance (as I was actually really unhappy in that job and I guess it showed in my performance somehow, no matter how hard I tried to hide that.
Have you ever been fired or terminated from a job ? How did that make you feel?
How did you bounce back?

So, what are you going to do now? I hope you have recovered and tried for another job.
I would feel devastated and sad. Probably depressed at first.

Had the same question last night when the other job I was really eyeing at also turned me down. Keep looking I guess? Maybe you have some online tricks and gigs under your sleeve that you can teach me?

I would not wish it upon anyone. It's humiliating, it knocks your self-esteem to an all-time low. There's that two opposing feeling of feeling relieved that you're done with a job you hated, and at the same time, anxiety for the future.

I thought recruitment is the employer's problem? Did you end up leaving?

@Theresaaiza I faced this issue at two places.
Mind you, they were not big organizations with independent HR department.
When I felt I was being exploited, I wanted to leave but both took it easy to find replacement. When it was taking too long, I set a date to quit. I was told they could not find the "right person" meaning they got used to my way of accepting all rubbish unloaded by others! At both places I had to find replacements and to see to it that they stayed. Was it a big relief as I walked out finally? You bet! siva

I was the one who submitted my resignation after working for them for 5 years with no salary increase.
And recently, I was able to have a job offer then after 3 days, send me that they could not hire me yet because they have issues with their company. And they are going to get back at me. That's so sad for me.

job seeking is not easy I do hope you find one eventually. There's bills to pay, and family to support. I see my sluggish earnings on myLot and it depresses me even more. Oh Life!

I feel you when I first started here. Like how badly I wanted to earn.
I write a lot of things to make my reader interact with me. And there was a time I stop myLotting.
Then last year my goal was to payout every month which I did until now because as much as possible I want to be active here.

Push it out of your mind and put your energies into something that resonates with you. If it had been something that was of interest to you, you would have been more motivated to keep pace, you admit you were unhappy. Think about what makes you happy. Read the book "What color is your Parachute?" or a similar work to discern the best path for you. Maybe that will help you sort things out.

I need that, thanks. I'm so all over the place right now. Can't decide what I want and what I don't want. There is that constant feeling of not connecting with my career, feel like I should be somewhere else, but I also haven't worked out where my passions lie.

@Theresaaiza When I was a teenager, but I probably wasn't a very good worker back then. I'm sorry this happened to you.
