Ciao! has bitten the dust

Another writing website that I enjoyed using was called Ciao! It is still active, though members are not paid for their contributions. Payments were acceptable, with my average cash out at around the £100 mark. Good months I could get almost £150, and poor months would see me earning £60. It took a lot of time and dedication, and also product knowledge as you were writing product and services reviews.
I think the demand for this type of review site has fallen, but the site will still operate at a profit, especially now they are no longer paying members for reviews. Member numbers have fallen drastically and will never pick back up, with writers going to sites such as the Amazon programme and various other sites. Blogging is the way forward, though time is something you must be prepared to put into this sort of thing.
So, myLot is once again a great alternative to all of these. With just thought from your mind required, and no need to set up your own blog and attract your own support. myLot is a one stop shop for all of these things, and its simplicity means that members can be laid back.

You earned quite a lot from that site. What was the reason that they stopped paying for members' contributions?

apparently there isn't the same demand for consumer reviews as there once were.

@Danielclark691 Sounds pretty similar to my experience writing for Knoji (previously Factoidz). I earned a lot from writing reviews and product comparisons but they stopped paying.

@cahaya1983 it was a shame they stopped paying. I think demand for these sites has fallen.

Wow, I didn't make anywhere near as much as you did on Ciao. I thought maybe they evened out the premium fund so that everyone would earn around the same. I was only making £30-50 month and thought that was good. There was some funny stuff going on towards the end of Ciao with one prolific member being targeted by what seemed like a prankster. It made me wonder what exactly was going on.

I agree, and perhaps I should think about this. I wouldn't know where to start.
