Many people who proclaim the Christian faith simply refuse to acknowledge the fact that God commands us multiple times to help others that are in need. I have seen comments from people saying "We need to stop worrying about everyone else and just worry about our own." I've also seen comments where people refuse to help the poor that are clearly homeless and in need because "They might use what I give them to buy alcohol". Let me clearly say that nowhere in the bible does it say "only help the poor if you know what they're going to do with what you give them" nowhere in the bible does it say "help your own first" it says help those in need. The rest is in God's hands. We should as Christians not only want to help others because it's the morally right thing to do but because it's what God himself tells us to do. Don't let pride stop you from doing what you should do. Don't let your thoughts of "well what if they get alcohol" stop you from helping someone. Don't let fear stop you from helping someone stranded on the side of the road. The bible says "If you love your life you will surely lose it". We should always put what God commands above our own lives, risking it all to serve him is what we are called to do. I've heard so many, even my own family refuse to stop and help someone on the side of the road because "what if they kill me?" You will be rewarded by God that's what will happen. Nothing in this life is greater than the rewards God gives us for doing what he says. But don't let that make you become legalistic. Simply love others like you're suppose to without fear of "what if". Trust God and you will be alright.

That's awesome. Helping any way we can is never a bad thing. Keep doing what you're doing. The world can never have enough good people like you. God bless.
