Getting ready for our first outdoor concert of the summer

It’s now less than a week until our first house concert of the summer. Although it’s called a ‘house’ concert it is actually held outdoors in an open-fronted shed we call the ‘Music Shack’. We have different musicians each time; the audience bring their own chairs, drinks and nibbles plus a picnic if they want to and the entrance fee money goes to the musicians. We keep enough money to pay for the extra insurance that we have to take out in case of accident.
Next Saturday we have a duo performing and we’re looking forward to hearing them again. They will stay with us. We also have six friends staying for the night and another couple will stay in their motor-home near the house. One couple will sleep in our bus/motor-home and one couple in the caravan.
We are planning a picnic for the six friends which will be nice for them but will get them out of the house and give the musicians a bit of peace and quiet before they have to perform. We offer free coffee, tea and apricot slice at interval. Over the next two days I’ll be making four slices as we have a full complement of just over 100 people coming. Some say they only come for my slice but I think they are just being kind.
The photo shows Herc, our pet sheep but now deceased, helping me with the lights.

This is our 28th. It's hard to believe we've had so many. And they are mostly good fun.

This will be our 28th concert since we started in 2010 so I guess we have it down to a fine art now. Things can still go wrong but we start early with our planning and just do a little bit every day for about ten days before the show and so far we've been able to manage without having to have help which is good.

@JudyEv I had to look up what apricot slice is, and it looks delicious. I hope your concert is so successful, it looks like fun. I'm sorry about your sweet sheep, Herc.
