A neighbor, where we buy some street foods and whom I buy loads for my 1 sim card, died at 2AM. She is a spinster. For several months now, we noticed that she lost too much weight; she stopped selling those street foods. Her sisters would ask my sister what the deceased’s condition was, and my sister, although not a nurse, gave her views about the condition like weak lungs. The sisters also asked about the procedure ‘thoracentesis’ from my sister and my sister asked me. When I told her the definition of that procedure, she relayed it to the sisters. The deceased when still alive, underwent the procedure but later on did not have a second procedure because she felt she needed to eat more to improve her weight. This morning, while I was checking on the garbage bag in front of our gate, her youngest sister called me out and said:”Manang Ingrid, she died already at 2AM”. I felt sorry for her. A brother of the deceased L, was crying endlessly because she and he were closer than any other siblings.
