Murder Mysteries Anyone??

Hey guys.
The first time I realized I was drawn to murder mysteries was when I was reading a romance novel whose side characters murders someone. Somehow my interest as to why that character murdered him and what was running through his mind peaked. I felt a thrill . I felt disheartened when I couldnt find a suitable explanation & there was really no satisfaction when the boy got his girl.
I first fell for murder series when I started reading Agatha Christie.. Ah those days..
I remember feeling a thrill reading scene after scene and page after page. It was beautiful and exhilarating.
Many of my friends really look at me odd saying how can you be happy about a murder. I remeber the feel whenever I get my guesses right.
I love the suspense and trepidation that an author who is stunning with words can cause.
My current favourite author is Sydney Sheldon. I absolutely love and adore his writing. The way he brings a twist in the end leaves me high and drying.
It is the same feel a sportsperson gets when he wins a medal.
There is a sort of satisfaction. The way he leads and manipulates our minds into thinking he is a murderer. But the moment you realize its actually someone who you thought was not.
The gasp that comes out without a struggle.
Its beautiful.
I'm just totally addicted to his writing.
Thank you for your support guys!!!! More power and love to you all .
What about you all what is your favourite genre and author??
